LP Names Lee Kuhre Vice President -- Environmental Affairs

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 2001--Louisiana-Pacific Corp. (NYSE:LPX) announced today that Lee Kuhre has been appointed to the newly-created position of vice president, environmental affairs.

Kuhre, with more than 26 years of experience in the field, will direct the company's environmental performance initiatives, work proactively with public officials and community leaders, and provide guidance on corporate standards and policies.

Most recently, Kuhre was the assistant vice president and senior environmental program manager at Science Applications International Corp. There he was responsible for the development and implementation of environmental programs for various manufacturing and agency clientele. Prior to that, he held the position of executive director

  • environment, health and safety at Seagate Technology where he oversaw the company's environmental and safety program. Kuhre also served as an associate professor of environmental management at the University of San Francisco and authored five books on the subject.
